Believe it or not but The Fast and The Furious is mobiles biggest selling franchise with over 13 million downloads. With figures like that, it's no surprise that Iplay have brought this fifth title. Unlike other developers, they haven't rested on their laurels and brought out a quick and easy sequel. Instead we have a fast, smooth driving game with plenty of improvements.

As before, the game is all about underground racing and this time the game is split into 4 distinct challenges; drift race, road race, drag race and finally a cop chase. Each event has slightly different controls and different tactics need to be used to succeed.

There are two main aims in Arcade mode; firstly win all the races and secondly win all the cars. For each race, apart from cop chase, you must put your car on the line and bet your pink slip (your vehicle registration document or V5 in the UK) against one of the other racers. If you beat them to the finish line then their car goes in your garage and is free for you to choose for later races. Lose the race and you lose your car (you can always select restart before you cross the finish line if you think you might lose).

There are 16 events in total but 32 cars to win and even my simple brain realises that you need to race some events more than once if you want to unlock everything. It would be a little boring if all 32 cars drove the same so Iplay have introduced some stats to mix things up. The stats breakdown into ratings for their drift, drag and racing abilities. Naturally you must consider these when selecting your and your opponents cars and give yourself the best chance of winning the bet.

The road race and cop chase are similar to your average driving game and is a standard race to the finish after negotiating tight complexes and tunnels. The cars auto accelerate and there is a brake/reverse with 8 for when you hit a wall head-on and can't turn around because of the auto accelerate. Some of the cars even have nitro that can be activated with the 5 button. These races are fast and the game handles the graphics pretty well. Our N81 doesn’t have a 3D chip and it does show, but it should play very well on the high-end Sony Ericsson handsets.

The drift and drag races are totally different and generally slower paced. The drift races have two goals, beat your opponent in the race and to unlock the next race you have to earn enough drift points by skidding round the course. The drift races are good fun and you can build up some big points if you manage to get round large chunks of the course without touching the sides. The races are much slower and you car will be lucky to exceed 80mph – even with nitro. With the slow speed these races are all about control and avoiding the doughnuts. Drag races are entirely different and are about perfecting your timing through the six gears. No steering is require, just press 2/up to change gear when your rev meter turns green. Do this six times and then watch as your car automatically drives around the drag strip. These races only last about 30 seconds and may seem fairly pointless to some.

Completing all the challenges and winning all the cars will take a few hours and apart from resetting your profile, there’s very little reason to come back for more. No two player mode, no online score and no extra achievements all contribute to its lower than hoped longevity. Having said that it was a very enjoyable couple of hours.

Might and Magic 1 was one of the best and most successful mobile games in the short history of java games. It was only the question of time when the developer, French famous company Gameloft, introduces the sequel of this game. It has taken two years. Nowadays, java games players could experience their adventure in the world of Might and Magic, the world very well known also from the PC games. Let’s make a detailed look on this game.

Might and Magic 2 (MaM2) is one of the best mobile games I have ever played. In brief, it is action RPG game with very strong story line. I have never seen such cinematics in any java game (one exception could be Darkest Fear 3: Nightmare by Rovio Mobile). MaM2 has an intro, an outro and you will see also lot of cinematics during the game. The story of the game is very interesting, you will have to go through lot of texts, but you will be in excitement what will happen with your hero in the next action.

Graphic side of the game is very beautiful, you will see miscellaneous surroundings (village, castle, ship interiors, forest, icy land, etc) also weather effects such as rain, storm, moving clouds, flying birds etc. Animations of your hero are displayed very well also your enemies are various. As your hero improves his skills and gets better equipment (boots, armor, helmet, weapon) you will see the difference on the display. At the beginning of your quest he looks like a village boy, but at the end of the story he is respected knight.

RPG system is very understandable. You will improve three basic skills: attack, defense and speed by progressing through character’s levels. This system is very well prepared. Unfortunately, you can only advance to the character’s level no. 40. If you reach level no.40, you will no more gain experience points and advance to next levels any more. I think that developers could programmed at least 100 characters levels, because in the middle of the game you advance to level 40 and then the game losses it’s attraction.

Playing time is sparkling. I have played the game for one week and finished it today in the morning. If I count the pure played time, the result number is 8-10 hours. Of course the game could be finished in shorter time, but I think it would be pity. The game is very open. You have always one main quest and you could have one side quest. There are many side quests. You can leave your main “story-line” quest and begin to accomplish side quests and improve your character’s level. You will earn money and in the shop you can buy improved equipment or various bottles which refill your mana, health or provide you other advantages during fights with the monsters. You can beat the enemies either by weapon (sword) or by magic spells. As you advance through character’s levels, you will learn new fighting combos and new magic spells (but you can use always only the last – it means the strongest spell). Game has 6 levels, but they are very long levels and between levels you have unlimited time for free movement through the world of MaM2 - time for accomplishing of the side quests.

Music in the game is the high standard as in all games produced by Gameloft. Each level has own melody in the background, you will hear sounds during the fighting, advancing to new character’s levels, etc. The music will never bore you. Game will save your progress on the checkpoints, or if you accomplish some quest. There are many checkpoints and you will not have to repeat big parts of the game levels if your hero dies. Sometimes you will have to solve some puzzle and you will have to pass also the mini-games. The game is very variable. For me was the biggest problem ride on the dragon in the final level of the game, I had to repeat it at least for 15 times.

Might and Magic 2 is very good game. The total rating of the game is 9/10. There is always something missing to 10/10 evaluation, but it is not very distant. RPG system (number of character’s levels, more battle equipment) could be developed more detailed. This is my one and only reproach. If you played and enjoyed Might and Magic 1, you will be satisfied, because with Might and Magic 2 you will get even better game, which is more focused on RPG development of the main character and with even attractive story. If you want to know what is nowadays mobile game maximum performance, do not hesitate and try Might and Magic 2. Trust me, you will not regret.

Every so often the 'banker' will offer you some money to buy your box from you. The offer usually depends on the remaining amount of money that is out there and whether he can force you to sell a box that could potentially contain £250k for only £10,000. It may sound rather bizarre but the TV show is highly addictive mostly due to Noel Edmonds and the buzz of the audience.

Transporting this away from the TV studio to an electronic game has proved very successful for the pub quiz machines where the game has transformed into a trivia quiz where the intellectuals have a chance of winning £20 or 10p. The mobile version has no real money that can be won, no online play and no free entry into a raffle. It is just for fun. The idea of Deal Or No Deal on the mobile sounded great when we first heard about it but the fact that no money could be won would surely be its downfall?

G@meloft are no slouches and they have managed to create an engaging non-gambling game. This is all thanks to the Challenge Mode. The mode is made up of 20 episodes where you have to win a certain amount of money. The game starts of 'easy' and only requires a deal of £10,000 to win and then the next episode is unlocked. It's not long before the threshold rises to £50,000 and you realise you are in it for the long haul if you want to force the banker to offer you such a large some of money. They have managed to make you ignore the fact that no real money can be won by rewarding you with unlocked, harder levels and the end result is a game where you actually care about how many virtual pounds are in your box. There is even a very small element of general knowledge where you have to answer a couple of questions in order to qualify for each episode. This is a minor aspect to the game and is just there to give some distraction from the box game.

There is also an Instant Play mode where there are no questions to answer and you just play a normal game and try to win as much as possible. All the results from all the games are saved in the stats section. Here you can see how much money you've won in total and how well you have performed in general. Once again this is just an added feature to add something to game that is all about chance. Undoubtedly, the randomness of the game will grate after a while and longevity must be an issue after the challenges are all completed. But with such tough challenges it should still take a while to finish.

The layout and format are spot on to the TV show with the ever present prize board and the big mugs and big phone. Unlike Millionaire and Family Fortunes, the presenter is actually in the game. It is a very good likeness to Noel but his movements are very laboured each time he goes to pick up the phone and talk to the banker. Noel does provide some humour and reacts to your game with some standard one liners.

This is a very difficult concept to bring to the mobile but as always G@meloft have managed to pull it out of the bag.
